Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University is seeking a self motivated and detail-oriented Student Intern to assist with the planning, coordination, promotion, and evaluation of 2025-2026 events. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, communications, and community and church engagement within a seminary and university setting.
Assist with event planning and logistics for events (set-up, hospitality, registration, and on-site support and more). Help develop and distribute promotional materials (flyers, email campaigns, social media posts). Coordinate with guest speakers, campus partners, and community stakeholders. Track event attendance and assist with post-event evaluation. Research and gather historical and biographical materials as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by the planning teams.
Qualifications Currently enrolled as a student at Capital University (undergraduate). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working with diverse communities and fostering an inclusive environment. Interest in church history, community engagement, or event planning is a plus. Experience with social media administration for an organization is a plus.
Duration: September 2025 - May 2026 Hours: Up to 15 hours per week (flexible upon student availability) Compensation: $11.10/hr (Tier 3 Student Employment)
